Energy Givers vs. Energy Takers
I’ve been thinking a lot about energy givers vs. energy takers lately. You know those things that just light you up from the inside out vs. those things that just drain you and make you feel “ugh” about life?
In my upcoming Insight Timer workshop we will be talking a lot about our own energy and how it interacts with the home, which is why I’ve been concentrating on building up my energy in a positive way. You know the saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup?” We want our energy to be with pure intention, clarity, loving heart and peaceful mind, before we infuse it into the home. Building up your personal chi is just as helpful as Home Energetics to living a life of connection, happiness, joy, and abundance.
What feeds your energy? What drains it?
Can you take the time this week to think of (maybe even write down) a list of energy givers and takers in your life. Look at your list and consider if changes could be made to your daily routine.
My list of energy givers:
My dog, a hug from my partner, watching leaves blow in the wind, meditation, sunlight, swimming, early bed time, walking barefoot, staying hydrated, stargazing, gardening.
My list of energy takers:
Too much screen time, letting dishes pile up, alcohol, overthinking, staying up late, clutter, not drinking water, self-doubting thoughts, comparing myself to others.
Feel free to email or DM me with your own list of energy givers vs. energy takers, I’d love to hear from you (yes, it really is me on the other side)!
This week I’ll be working on spending more time with my energy givers and less time with energy takers. I hope this inspires you to do the same.
Sending love and gratitude,
Jacey
