When I take time before bed to give myself a little foot massage and concentrate on certain areas related to reflexology, I sleep SO DEEPLY! I use jojoba or oat oil mixed with lavender essential oil.

Sleepy Home Energetics - Under Your Bed
You spend roughly (hopefully?) 1/3 of your life sleeping. In Feng Shui we believe everything has it’s own energy (chi), even your clutter. One of the areas we often find stored clutter is under the bed. What type of energy are you keeping beneath you when you sleep? When you are sleeping you’re absorbing all the energy around you. It’s time to remove that box of old boyfriend letters, the clothes that don’t fit anymore, or bills you’re avoiding. The only items I keep below my bed are clean sheets, because they hold clean, cozy, sleepy vibes, and nothing else. Clean out the area under your bed and let me know if you notice a difference in your sleeping patterns.

This one feels a little taboo and vulnerable to share in this newsletter, but here is the truth- my partner and I are “sleep divorced.” When I tell people we don’t sleep together every night the most common response is, “are you guys ok?!” My answer, “never better!” We are both fiercely dependent on our sleep, light sleepers, and have opposite sleeping schedules. When we subscribed to the standard sleep together every night routine we would wake up tired, cranky, and sometimes even annoyed with each other. Now that we sleep separately more often than not, we wake up fully refreshed and speak loving good mornings to each other. I realized this may not be possible or even preferred by a lot of people, but check out these two articles see what you think.

Another factor that supported our sleep divorce was when I found out that I am a projector in human design (HD). Projectors and reflectors in human design need sleep and alone time to recharge their energy. I realized that by sleeping next to my generator (another HD design type that constantly makes their own energy) partner I was never getting that precious recharge time that my body/mind/soul needed.
