It’s love week, do you feel it?
Even though Phil said early Spring, I’m still feeling those cozy winter vibes. Also, can I just say Punxsutawney Phil is one of THE WEIRDEST traditions, but obviously I’m here for the normalization of animal communication lol.
Here are my recommendations for this week:
I made this nourishing beef stew recipe and will be eating the leftovers for the rest of the week. It’s so delish and heartwarming. This is the first time I’ve put one of my recipes on the blog so if you make it I’d love for you to let me know what you think!
I’m currently enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coaching course and have been learning so much about how to nourish our bodies, minds, and souls. One module of the course featured a talk by Dr. Terry Wahls about how she overcame progressive MS with holistic health practices and I was blown away. I’ve become fascinated with nutrition for brain health and repairing the body, and this is what she’s all about. Here’s her TEDx talk (18mins) for your weekly dose of inspiration and awe.
This week is Valentine’s day. My partner and I usually like to have a nice dinner and spend intentional time together. For Christmas I bought these Healthier Together Conversation cards. The prompts are both light hearted and thought provoking, the topics include love, wealth, growing up, wellbeing, adventure, and “what ifs”. I will be using these during dinner this week and plan to use them more often. She also has Raunchier Together, which could be another fun date night addition.
Here’s a Feng Shui rec for love. If you’re calling in partnership, or if you’re partnered up, make room for your partner! Examples, your bed should have two pillows, two night stands, two phone chargers, you need two place settings at the table, etc. When you create physical and energetic space for a partner, you signal to the universe you have physical and energetic space to receive that love you’ve been calling in. If you’re partnered up, you want to signal a loving balance in the relationship you both deserve equal access to the bed, a comfy place to sleep, and room enough to share a meal together.
And finally I have an announcement, keeping with the love month theme…
Thank you so much for being here. You mean so much to me.
Sending you so much love,
Jacey
