Newsletter #21 - Part 2: Wellness doesn’t have to be expensive!

I’ve admitted, I’m easily influenced. I fall victim to Instagram adds and TikTok trends related to health and wellness all the time. But, in an effort to re-evaluate my consumerism and my spending I came up with a few things related to health and wellness that are cheap (less than $10) or FREE!

Check out previous newsletters here for more info like, the wheel of life assessment to evaluate where your wellness is lacking, and free or cheap ways to improve your mental and emotional wellness.

Free or cheap ways to improve your physical wellness:

o  Drink water: I drink 30+ oz of water first thing every morning. We are chronically dehydrated. I make sure to start my day with huge liquid bolus. It’s so good for your gut health, cognitive health, and kidneys, just to name a few.

o  Working out: Gym memberships and classes can be super pricey, same with at home equipment. These days you can find so many different classes on youtube, and body weight workouts are also super effective!

o  Sleep: Your body needs sleep to repair and regenerate. Support your sleep habits with low lights before bed, no screen time before bed, lotion on your feet (reflexology for sleep), 10 deep breaths as you lay down, keeping it dark and cool to support sleep.

o  Walking: Walking is so good for our bodies! My prefered method is Wonder walks (where you move slowly and intentionally and appreciate everything around you) it helps you feel so grateful and inspired or excited to be alive. The world is so beautiful its truly amazing when we take the time to look at it through the eyes of wonder and awe.

o  Lymphatic drainage: The lymph system keeps body fluid levels balanced and helps to fight against infection. This is the dry brush that I use and it costs less than $10, you can also do lymphatic drainage massage on your face without any tools. Check out youtube/TikTok/instagram for tutorials.

Feng Shui for physical wellness:
